Gallagher Flint Station Archeological Site is the earliest dated archaeological site in northern Alaska. It was discovered in 1970 during the construction of the Trans-Alaska Pipeline and dated to 10,540 B.P.[3]

It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1978.[2]
